How do I read the size of the frames?

We provide measurements for every frame on our website in the following formats so that you can choose the frames that are best suited to your face

e.g. 40-15-135-29

1. Lens Diameter (40) is the width across the lens
2. Bridge width (15) is the distance across the bridge
3. Arm length (135) is the length of the frame's arm from the front of the frame to the temple which secure the frame behind the ears.
4. Lens Depth (29) is the height of the lens

The best, quickest and easiest way of choosing the best fit for you is to note down the measurements of your current pair to give you a guide. Most frames have three measurements on the inside of an arm

The Arm Length and Bridge Width will determine the fit and comfort of the frames. The Lenses Diameter (width) and Depth (height) influence the style of glasses. Hence, these factors are respective to your individual preferences

As a general rule of thumb, people with narrow faces suit narrow frames. These 4 measurements do not need to match exactly, but if they are close to your current glasses, they will result in a similar fit

Which lenses should I choose?

For eyeglasses, there are 4 different types of lenses to choose from:

1. Frame Only
Select this option if you want to purchase the eyeglasses frame without customized prescription lenses. These frames come with mock lenses for display purposes only. We do not recommend you wear the frames with the mock lenses, as they do not provide adequate eye protection.

We recommend purchasing Plano lens (zero prescription) with your frame by selecting "Plano Glasses" as described in section 4 below.

2. Distance Wear
Select this option if you want to purchase customized prescription lenses for distance wear with your frame. Distance glasses are used by wearers who cannot see objects clearly from a distance. Distance glasses are generally used for driving, sports and other outdoor activities.

3. Reading Only
Select this option if you want to purchase reading lenses with your frame. Reading glasses are used for viewing material close-up, for example, reading, typing, and working at the desk. Your optometrist will normally point this out to you and will give you an additional (ADD) plus (+) power for each eye on your prescription.

Please note, we can only offer single vision lenses for reading glasses. We do not provide Bi-focal, Multi-focal or Progressive lenses online, as measurements of your face and frame selection will need to be taken in order to achieve the right outcome for your eyes.

For optimal durability and performance, we suggest selecting standard Full-Rimmed or Semi-Rimless glasses only. We do not recommend you purchase a rimless frame with reading only lenses. Due to the thin edge of the convex lens used for reading glasses, the lenses are likely to crack around the drilled holes or temples.

4. Computer/Intermediate
Select this option if you want to purchase customized prescription lenses for computer/intermediate use. Computer/intermediate glasses are used for when you are working in front of the computer or some other specific task like reading music sheets on a stand. Computer screens are normally positioned 20 to 26 inches away from the user’s eyes and are considered to be in the intermediate zone of vision, closer than distance wear, but further away from reading vision.

5. Plano (No Prescription) Glasses
Select this option if you want to wear glasses for fashion purposes only, and have no need for corrective lenses. Our Plano lenses are exactly the same lenses as those used for prescription purposes, but without the prescription. They offer the same protection as our normal prescription lenses, including 100% UV protection.
